ノギメトゴウ/Nogime Togo

ノギメトゴウ。「ノギ／禾」とは、実用性を強く帯びない、細い線状の植物構造を指す。 宋代の禾目天目茶碗では、その細線に美が見出され、中国では兎毫と呼ばれた。 名付けがたく、主題ならず、価値の中心から外れた無名なもの。日本人の感性としてそれをデザインすることにより、 本来は異なる対象が読み替えられ、価値が反転する。その現象への関心が、本名の由来である。

Through architecture and photography, practicing drawing, building, and placing - aspiring to become a "Tugo," one who masters design as a swordsman masters the blade.

Nogimetogo. "Nogi (禾)" refers to the fine, linear plant structures that do not strongly assert practical function. In Song-dynasty Hare's-Fur Tenmoku tea bowls, such delicate lines were discovered as beauty and named Tuhao (rabbit's hair) in China. That reversal - where different objects are reinterpreted and value is transformed through design - forms the origin of this name. It reflects an interest in re-reading what is unnamed, non-central, and structurally overlooked.
